Government Liaison
Having been president of the British Property Federation in 2004 and inaugural Chairman of the Scottish Property Federation in 2007, David Hunter has a unique track record in representing the property industry in liaison with Government.
Related roles currently include membership of the Property Committee of the National Association of Pension Funds, and of the Bank of England Property Forum.
Hunter is committed to the importance of communication in bridging the perceived gap between Government and the property industry. This philosophy was central to his leading role in 2005 in the introduction of REITs to the UK.
As Honorary Swedish Consul to Glasgow, Hunter also is cognisant of the importance of strong international government relations.
David's persuasive but personable approach to discussions with Government is the ideal support for our lobbying activities.
He is particularly keen that the property industry focuses on delivering the needs of Government – a key factor in the REITs debate.
